Titus, (A.D. 79-81), silver denarius, 'Atonement series', Rome Mint, issued 1 January-30 June A.D. 80, (3.38 g), obv. IMP TITVS CAES VESPASIAN AVG P M, laureate head to right, rev. TR P IX IMP XV COS VIII P P, pulvinar (throne) of Mars and Venus, wreath on curule chair, (S.2516, RIC II 1 108, BMC 66-9, RSC 318, BN 53). Lightly toned, a few minor scratches, extremely fine and rare in this condition.
