Egypt, Kingdom of, Ptolemy V Epiphanes, (205-180 BC), silver tetradrachm (13.57g), Salamis mint, RY 20 (186/5 BC),obv. diademed head of Ptolemy I right, aegis at neck, rev. eagle standing on thunderbolt, closed wings, LK **S*A to left, pilos to right, **BASILEWS PTOLEMAIU*. (Svoronos 1343; Noeske 188). Harshly cleaned, surface roughness, very fine or better and extremely rare.
Ex Stephen J. Bridges Collection, with collector's ticket attributing to Ptolemy VI. Cf Leu Numismatik AG Web Auction 26 (lot 1636), same obverse die.
