Syria, Kingdom of, Demetrius I Soter, (162-50 BC), silver tetradrachm (16.52g), Antioch mint, obv. diademed head of Demetruys right, within laurel wreath, rev. Tyche seated left, holding sceptre and cornucopiae, leg of throne in the form of a tritoness, **BASILEWS DHMHTRIOU* to left and right, monogram in exergue (SC1635b; S.7014; HGC 9 795f). Toned over old cleaning, minor edge chipping at 8 and 9 o'clock, very fine.
