Ionia, Magnesia ad Maeandrum, (c.300-200.C.), silver drachm, Persic standard, (5.48 g), Aristodemos magistrate, obv. armed cavalryman, wearing helmet, holding couched lance in his right hand and with his cloak flowing back from his shoulders, riding horse prancing to right, rev. bull butting to left, above **MAGN*, below **ARISTODHMOS* and monogram in exergue, all within circular meander pattern, (cf.S.4477, cf.BMC 158 5, SNG Cop 805, cf.Kinns two #5). Attractively toned, very fine and very rare.
