Peloponnesos, Argolis, Argos, silver hemidrachm, or Attic triobol, 80's - 50's B.C. (2.47 g), obv. forepart of wolf at bay to right, rev. A with T- [PY]/**P-IC either side at top with caps of the Dioscuri below all within shallow incuse square, (cf.Sear 2794, BCD 1169 [p.280, LHS 96], BMC 121 [p.145], HGC 5, 691 [R1]). Toned, fine - very fine and rare.

Ex BCD Collection by CNG from CNG Triton XIII, January 8, 2010 (lot 2181 part), originally acquired from Stacks New York, from the Massachusetts Historical Society Part I Sale on March 5-6 1971 (lot 231) and later from Stacks March 15-17 1979 Auction (lot 1063 part). all with photos, BCD and Stacks tickets, descriptive collector's ticket in a flip.
