Epeiros, Ambrakia, (c.360-338 B.C.), silver stater, (8,32 g), obv. Pegasos standing to right, A below, rev. helmeted head of Athena to left, head of river god Achelous facing (androcephalous bull), behind, (cf.S.1958, Calciati 88, Cammann (NN&M 53) No.1, Ravel 137 (NN&M 37), McClean 5098, BMC 19 [same dies]). Nearly extremely fine and very rare.

Ex Guido Bernardi, Trieste, January 8, 1998 with his ticket (cost 350 euros).^Ravel notes 11 examples all from the same dies, most of which are in public collections.
