Paeonia, Kingdom of, Patraos, (c.340-315 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (12.56 g), obv. laureate head of Apollo to right, rev. horseman to right spearing fallen enemy, who holds shield, around **P A TRAOU*, lacking symbol or monogram, (S.1520, Paeonian Hoard II 174 (same dies), SNG ANS 1031, Peykov E2140 (same reverse die as illustration), Alpha Bank, Hellenic 82 (same rev. die)). Toned, well centred and struck, nearly extremely fine and scarce as such.
