Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.28 g), Miletos Mint, issued under Philoxenos, struck c.325-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus Aetophoros seated on^throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, thunderbolt in left field, monogram below throne, **ALEXANDROU* to right,^(cf.S.6730, Price 2088, ADM I Series I). Nearly extremely fine with underlying mint bloom.
