Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.31 g), Lampsakos Mint, struck under Leonnatos, Arrhidaios, or Antigonos I Monophthalmos, obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus Aetophoros^seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, buckle in left field, below throne, Artemis Phosphoros standing facing, **[AL]EXANDR[OU]* to right, (cf.S.6730, Price 1379 var (Artemis running left), ADM II Series IX, 267 = SNG von Post 12 [same dies]). Lightly toned, good very fine or better and a rare variety.
