Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.38 g), Lampsakos Mint, struck under Kalas or Demarchos, issued 328/5-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to^right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus Aetophoros seated on^throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, Artemis Phosphoros standing facing, holding two torches in left^field, monogram below throne, **ALEXANDROU* to right, (cf.S.6730, Price 1356, ADM II Series V). Good extremely fine with mint bloom, very scarce.
