Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (16.80 g), Corinth Mint, issued under Demetrios I Poliorketes, c.304/3 290 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne decorated with Nikai to left, eagle in outstretched hand, **QE* under throne, to left outer field, Athena standing to left with shield and spear, to right **ALEXAND[ROU]*, (cf.S.6713, Price 703, Noe, Sicyon 60.4 (dies A96/P190)). Toned, very fine and very rare.
