Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.18 g), Babylon Mint, struck under Stamenes or Archon, c.324/3 B.C., obv. head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus Aetophoros seated left, **ALEXANDROU* right downwards, monogram above strut of throne, M below, (S.6727. Price 3656). Bright surfaces, good very fine or better and rare in this condition.
