Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.29 g), Abydos Mint, struck under Kalas or^Demarchos, issued c.325-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to^right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to^left, eagle in outstretched hand, male standing to left^extending hand, **X* horizontally below throne, to right^**ALEXANDROU*, (cf.S.6730, Price 1501, ADM II Series I).^Toned, very fine and a rare type.
