Macedon, Kingdom of, Alexander III, (336-323 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.26 g), Abydos Mint, struck under Kalas or Demarchos, issued c.325-323 B.C., obv. head of Herakles to right wearing lion skin, rev. Zeus seated on throne to left, eagle in outstretched hand, male standing to left extending hand, **X* below throne, to right **ALEXANDRO[U]*, (cf.S.6730, Price 1499, ADM II Series I). Extremely fine with mint bloom, rare type.
