Macedon, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.35 g), Pella mint, period IIa, issued c.348/7-343/2 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, holding long palm branch, corn ear to right below, above **FILIP [P]OU*. (cf.S.6680, Le Rider 141/2 [pl,6, p.22 obv. die D84, reverse R113], Muller 266, SNG ANS -). In high relief, nearly extremely fine/very fine with one test cut on reverse, very rare.
