Macedon, Kingdom of Philip II, (359-336 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (14.46 g), Pella Mint, issued c. 342/1-337/6 B.C., obv. head of Zeus laureate to right, dotted border, rev. naked youth or small man (Philip II), on horseback to right, holding long palm branch, thunderbolt below, N in exergue, above **FILIP POU*. (S.6680, Le Rider Group II.A.2, 220 (D125/R179), SNG ANS 285). Lightly toned, some die wear on obverse, erasure mark under leg of horse on reverse (the N was previously placed there), near extremely fine and rare.
