Thrace, Kingdom of, Lysimachos, (323-281 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.05 g), uncertain mint, probably issued 288/7-281 B.C., obv. head of Alexander to right, with diadem and horn of Ammon, within dotted circle, rev. Athena Nikephoros enthroned to left, supporting Nike, spear behind, **ATIO* in inner left, **QE* monogram in exergue, to right **BASILEWS* downwards, to left **LUSIMACOU* downwards, (cf.S.6814, Thompson -, Muller 316, SNG Berry 407 (same obverse die), Meydancikkale 2705 (same obverse die), CNG 84, lot 201 [same dies]. Bright, a few minor surface marks, otherwise nearly extremely fine and rare.
