Thrace, Kings of, Lysimachos, (305-281 B.C.), silver drachm, (4.25 g), issued in the name and type of Alexander III of Macedon, Abydos Mint, struck c.299/8 - 297/6 BC. obv. head of Herakles right, wearing lion skin rev.^Zeus Aetophoros seated left, in left field, lion forepart^left above M, below throne, head of Griffin left, **BASILEWS* below, in right field **LUSIMACOU* (cf.S.6812, Thompson 68, Muller -, Price L20, HGC 3, 1751c). Lightly toned, good very fine or better and very rare.
