Thrace, The Thracian Cherronesos (Cardia?), (400-350 B.C.), silver hemidrachm, (2.26 g), obv. forepart of lion looking back, rev. quadripartite incuse square, alternate depressions deeper one containing a pellet and YE monogram, in other corner lekythos with strigil, (cf.S.1602, McClean 4113, HGC 3, 1437). Lightly toned, good very fine, rare symbol.
