Thrace (Moesia Inferior), Istros, (400-350 B.C.), silver drachm, (6.08 g), obv. two young male heads facing, side by side, right upright, left inverted, rev. I**S*TPIH above sea-eagle standing to left on dolphin to left, which it attacks with its beak, beneath eagle tail Greek Z (resembles an H), (cf.S.1669, Dima Group IV, Subgroup II, 1, AMNG I 429, HGC 3, 1801). Attractively toned, good very fine with traces of mint bloom, rare variety.
