Sicily, Syracuse, Hieron I, (478-466 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 24mm, (17.27 g), struck circa 478-475 B.C., obv. charioteer driving quadriga to right, above, Nike flying right, crowning horses, rev. diademed head of Arethusa to right with four dolphins around, around **S*VRAKO**S*ION, (S.914 var., Boehringer Series XI, 239E (V107E/R162E), HGC 2, 1307). Attractively toned, good very fine and a rare die combination.
