Sicily, Syracuse, Hieron I, (478-466 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, 24.5mm, (17.23 g), struck circa 478-475 B.C., obv. charioteer driving quadriga to right, above, Nike flying right, crowning horses, rev. diademed head of Arethusa to right with four dolphins around, around **S*V RAK O**S*I O N, (S.914 var., Boehringer Series VIIIb, 123 (V56/R84), HGC 2, 1306, SNG ANS 33 (same dies), Randazzo 277 [this coin]). Lightly toned, a few areas of porosity, well centred, good very fine and rare.
