Sicily, Gela, (c.480/475-475/470 B.C.), silver tetradrachm, (17.14 g), Jenknins Group IIc, obv. slow quadriga driven left by male charioteer holding reins, Nike flying to right crowning horses, dotted border, rev. forepart of man headed bull to right with long beard, around legend **G E L AS*, (cf.S.785, cf.Jenkins 149, obv. 40 [this die], cf.rev. 92 [similar]). Toned, good very fine and very rare, unlisted die combination.
