Italy, Calabria, Tarentum (Taras), (c.280 B.C.), silver nomos, (7.78 g), obv. naked horseman dismounting left, holding shield, E[Y] behind, rev. Phalanthos astride dolphin left, holding grain ear, [A]**R*I to left, spearhead below, (cf.S.347, Vlasto 703, HN Italy 969). Lightly toned, good very fine and scarce.
