Italy, Campania, Neapolis (Naples), (c.340-240 B.C.), silver stater or didrachm, (7.44 g), obv. head of nymph to right, astragalus behind, below **CARILE*, rev. man-headed bull walking to right, crowned by Nike flying right above, below K, below exergue of [**NEO]POLI[TWN*], (cf.S.307, Sambon 469b, SNG ANS 359 [same dies]). Toned, very fine and a scarce symbol.
