Vespasian, (AD 69-79), gold aureus, Rome Mint, issued A.D. 74, (7.39 g), obv. laureate head right, around IMP CAESAR VESPASIANVS AVG, rev. FORTVNA AVGVST around, Fortuna standing to left on garlanded base, holding rudder and cornucopiae, (cf S.2251, RIC 699, Calico 631, BMC 275 [same reverse die]). Struck on a broad flan, very fine and scarce.
