Galba, (A.D. 68-69), gold aureus, issued April - late 68 A.D., uncertain Spanish mint (Tarraco), (7.64 g), obv. laureate head to left of Galba, around GALBA IMP, rev. LIBERTAS PVBLICA around, Libertas, draped, standing left, holding pileus in right hand and vindicta in left, (S.-, RIC 22, Cal.486 (this coin illustrated), Biaggi 260 (this coin). A fantastic left facing prtrait, a few small marks on reverse, otherwise nearly extremely fine - extremely fine and very rare.
