Macedon, Kingdom of, Philip II - Alexander III, gold quarter stater, (2.12 g), 10mm, Pella Mint, (c.342-336/328 B.C.), obv. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress, dotted border, rev. kantharos above bow and club to left [**F]ILIPPOU* below, (S.6668, Le Rider 66 [D46/R34], SNG ANS 221-3, HGC 3.1, 851 var,SNG Cop 538 [same dies], SNG Lockett 1408 [same dies]. Struck slightly off centre on obverse, a few deposits, very fine and rare.
