Swing mounted, some damage to ribbons and contact marks and hairlines on all medals, otherwise fine - very fine.

Edwin Francis Bowden, steward, age 32, born at Guernsey, Channel Islands; Enl.03Jan1916 in 11Rfts for 17Bn at Agricultural Showgrounds, Sydney, NSW with previous non-continuous service; Emb.09Apr1916; to hospital at Abbassia with VD 19Aug1916; to 17Bn 21Sep1916; to Reading War Hospital with dysentery 15Jan1917; to France 20Jun1917 and rejoined 17Bn 16Jul1917; blown up by a shell on 25Sep1917 on Menin Rd, Flanders; to hospital in England 10Oct1917; RTA 08Nov1918 SW head; Disch.10Apr1919 ; Mercantile Marine war service records not sighted; died 4Feb1977 at Collaroy, NSW.
