Pair: Queen's South Africa Medal 1899, (type 2 reverse), - four clasps - Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal, South Africa 1901; British War Medal 1914-18. 13 Pte D.Brown, Queensland M.R. on first medal, 1301 Pte. D.Brown. A.N. & M.E.F. on second medal. Both medals impressed. Hairlines, otherwise very fine.

David Brown, Enl. in Queensland Imperial Bushman and Emb.18May1900; Disemb.23Jun1900 at Cape Town; unit involved in multiple drives and skirmishes during the year; RTA 05Jul1901; WWI: Enl.01May1918 in AN&MEF after 1 year of Home Service as Civic Guard at age 46; Emb.13Jun1918 to Rabaul, NG and then joined A Coy in Kokopo; further service in Eitape and Kokopo; RTA 05Aug1919; Died and funeral 16Oct1951 at Lutwyche Cemetery, Kedron, Queensland.
