William I the Conquerer, (1066-87 AD), silver penny (1.02g), moneyer Wulfwine, unknown (Colchester?) mint, obv. crowned bust in profile left, holding sceptre, +PILLEMV REX, rev. +PVLPINE ON, cross fleury (S.1250; N.839). Creased, areas of flatness, flan cracks and chip on edge at 6, good fine.
