China, uncertain period probably Chou dynasty, 'Yu' Fish series, detailed rib type in copper, odd shaped medium of exchange, (c.1000-500 B.C.), length 108mms, (cf.Coole 6920 - 6934, Vol.5 p.559-562, Not in Sch. or TFP, cf.Singapore Coin Auction Taisai-Baldwin 16 lot 426). With green patina, of fine style, very fine and very rare.
