China, Chou Dynasty, Large 'Ch'i' series (from the Duchy of Ch'i during the Chou Dynasty), pointed type, (c.400-250 B.C.), five characters knife money, obv. An Yang Chih (Huan) Huo, rev. Shang, length 185mms, (Coole 6648 Vol.5 p.428, cf.TFP 356). Some green encrustation, otherwise very fine and very scarce.
