New Zealand, New Zealand Treasury Note, Southland, one pound, unissued, Payable at the Treasury Invercargill, undated (c1865), no serial numbers, overprinted Specimen in purple diagonally twice, imprint of Fergusson & Mitchell, Dunedin (L.-, P.-, Sutherland 255 [p.184], Clifford U921). Light folds and creases, several worm holes, otherwise nearly very fine and excessively rare.
