Return fob, in gold (9ct; 9.23g; 34x37mm), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'Presented to/Pvt G.Garratty/By the Residents/of Kangaroo Valley/on his Return/from Active Service/1918'. Extremely fine.
George Garratty, age 23, born near Kangaroo Gully, NSW; Enl.12Jun1915 at Nowra, NSW accompanied by request from Nowra Police Station that Garratty be accepted for Military service together with advice that he has so been accepted; other records not available.
