Memorial fob, in gold (9ct; 3.40g; 36x34mm), by W (Willis), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'Presented to/Pte J.Clark./by the residents of/Granton/in grateful recognition/of services rendered/1914-18'. Edge dent on central circle on obverse, otherwise good very fine.
James Clark, age 18, born at Haslingden, Lancaster, England; Enl.24Aug1915 at Claremont, Tas in 12Bn with previous service in Senior Cadets; father moved to Granton, Tas; Emb.24Nov1915; to France 29Mar1916; WIA 14Apr1917 France; Died 30Mar1919 of broncho pneumonia at 1AG Hosp.
