Hamilton Eisteddfod, prize medal in gold (9ct; 3.15g; 30.5mm), by S.H (S. Hoffnung), ring top suspension, reverse inscribed, 'Hamilton/Eisteddfod/1913/Vocal Quartette./won by/(no name)'. Nearly uncirculated.
The first of a proposed series of annual eisteddfods, promoted by the Hamilton Mechanics' Institute was opened in the hall of the institute on Friday 31 October 1913. Hamilton is a suburb of Newcastle, NSW.
