COL NEM on either side of palm-shoot, chained crocodile to right below, wreath above, (S.1729, RPC 523, RIC 155) (illustrated); Augustus, (27 B.C. - A.D. 14), AE as, Rome Mint, issued 7 B.C. by M. Salvius Otho, (6.77 g), obv. bare head to left of Augustus around [CAES]AR AVGVST PONT MA[X TRIBVNIC POT], rev. M S[ALVI]VS OTHO III VIR A A A F F around large SC, (cf.S.510, RIC 432, C.516, CBN 708, BMC 233). Toning, (uneven on the first coin), good fine and scarce. (2)
