Septimius Severus, (A.D. 193-211), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 207, (3.36 grams), obv. laureate head of Septimius Severus to right, around SEVERVS PIVS AVG, rev. around P M TR P XV COS III P P, Africa standing wearing elephant-skin head-dress standing right, snake in left hand, lion at her feet, (S.1778, RIC 207A, RSC 493b). Good very fine/nearly extremely fine, very scarce.
