49th Bn was in 13th Brigade, 3rd (Vic) Military District. The 3rd Military District winners were J Coy 64th Bn 16th Brigade but since they also won the Commonwealth Series (gold medal) the District Champion Team silver medal was awarded to the runner up K Coy 49th Bn.
