Trio: General Service Medal 1962-2007, - clasp - Malay Peninsula; Vietnam Medal 1964-73; South Vietnam Campaign Medal 1964-72, clasp - 1960-; ribbon for US Navy Unit Commendation. R H Bojtschuk R62613. All medals official replacements and pantographed. Swing mounted, some contact marks, otherwise good very fine.
Together with Vietnam Veterans Reunion Brisbane '91 plaque on timber shield, below the plaque is another brass plate inscribed, 'H.M.A.S Hobart/Vietnam Tour Of Duty/March - Sept 1967/AB/SMN R Borjtschuk/R62613'; framed certificate for award of US Navy Unit Commendation to HMAS Hobart (D-39), this with foxing spots.

Rudolf Hans Bojtschuk, student, born 20Nov1946 at Berlin, Germany; Enl.25Nov1963 at Brisbane, Qld in RAN (R62613); served on various postings including HMAS Hobart in Vietnam 07Mar to 27Sep1967 as Able Seaman Radar Plot; HMAS Hobart was awarded the US Navy Unit Commendation for exceptionally Meritorious Service during the period 10Mar to 20Sep1967 while engaged in Combat Operations in direct support of Free World Objectives in South East Asia.; Disch.25May1968 as 'Unsuitable'.
Rudolf H. Bojtschuk wrote a book published in 1986 titled, 'Operation Sea Dragon' under the name of Ronald H. Bojtschuk. The book is about his time serving with the Navy in Vietnam.
