Group of Five: 1939-45 Star; Pacific Star; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45; Naval General Service Medal 1915-62 (EIIR Dei Gratia), - clasp - Near East. N.Jenkins. M.N. on first four medals, N.Jenkins on last medal. All medals impressed. Swing mounted, ribbons damaged, spotty toning and contact marks, otherwise very fine.

Norman Jenkins, born 22Jun1925 at Sydney, NSW; served in Merchant Navy; engaged 07May1942 at Sydney, NSW on SS Algonquin as Galley Boy; Disch.04Mar1943; subsequent service on other vessels including SS Westralia, SS Reynella, SS Corio, SS Iron Prince, and many others; last recorded service engaged on 10Jul1947 on SS Lepton as Able Bodied Seaman; subsequently served in British Merchant Navy earning the NGSM as crew on SS Rivercrest during Operation Muskateer in the Suez crisis of 1956.
