World War I: 6th Battalion AIF. Enl. 17Aug1914 at Melbourne; Emb. 05Apr1915. Served Gallipoli Landing, England, France, Belgium, KIA 31Aug1916 Belgium, buried in Bedford House New Cemetery, near Ypres France.
With research including original Parchment Certificates, Permanent Forces, Victoria, Certificate of Discharge; Australian Commonwealth Horse for Service in South Africa, Certificate of Discharge; Parchment Certificate of Character on discharge. These were returned with the deceased soldier's effects.
