Group of Five: 1914-15 Star; British War Medal 1914-18; Victory Medal 1914-19; War Medal 1939-45; Australia Service Medal 1939-45. 2776 Pte J.P.Moore. North'd Fus: on first three medals, W237637 J.P.Moore on last two medals. All medals impressed. Display mounted, some contact marks, otherwise fine - good very fine.

1) Discharge Certificate from Northumberland Fusiliers.
2) Letter from Secretary of Bank of Ireland, Dublin dated 3rd November 1921 being a reference as to his efficient service as a porter.
3) AMF Record of Service Books (2) and Discharge Procedure Book.
4) Certificate of Discharge from AMF dated 26 Jul 48.
5) Certificate of Discharge from Australian Regular Army Special Reserve dated 2nd October 1951.
James Patrick Moore, born 30Jan1896 at Portsmouth, England; Enl.16Feb1910 at Dublin, Ireland and was a drummer, bugler and piccolo player; saw action in northern France and was Disch.08Jul1915 Medically Unfit; worked as a porter at Bank of Ireland in Dublin 24Feb1917 to 07Sep1918 and then resigned at own request; Emigrated to Perth, WA and lived at Subiaco; Enl.12Jun1940 in CMF; Disch.30Jun1947 as W237637 Sgt James Patrick Moore of Western Command RAE; Enl.08Jul1948 in Interim Army - Special Reserve with service number 5/9345; Disch.28Aug1951; post war worked as a clerk; Died 12Feb1966 in Perth and was buried at Karrakatta, Nedlands City, WA.
