Recommendation: This man is a Special Wireless operator. He has been working night and day with the exception of two short periods for nearly three years. He served in Greece and for fourteen months in the Western Desert. He has shown great cheerfulness and has given his best in a very specialised and particularly exacting type of work. Great concentration is demanded of the Special Operator at all times, but particularly in times of danger and discomfort; and he has shown by the results that nothing can deter him. Work has often to be carried out under fire.
With copies of Gazette pages and the recommendation.
