M.M. 1/L'Pool R. on first medal, 53028 Pte G.Donald. 1/L'Pool:R. on second medal, 53028 Cpl. G.Donald. L'Pool R' on third and fourth medals, the last medal unnamed. The named medals impressed. Display mounted, some contact marks, otherwise fine - good very fine.
DCM: Supplement to LG 3/9/1918, p10289 to 53028 Cpl. G.Donald, M.M., L'Pool R. (Penrith). Citation: For conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty while commanding officer's orderly. He showed untiring energy in collecting and organising small-arms ammunition and bomb-carrying parties, and in reforming stragglers. And on one occasion, under a heavy barrage, his contempt of danger served to steady the men and restore confidence.
