Vespasian, (A.D. 69-79), silver denarius, Rome mint, issued A.D. 69-79, obv. laureate head of Vespasian to right [IMP C]AESAR VESPASIANVS AVG around, rev. IVDAEA in exergue with Judaea seated to right at foot of trophy, (S.777, RIC 15, C.226). Good fine and scarce.

Ex. Downie's October 1990. The issue commemorates the victory by the Romans over the Jews in the First Revolt.
