Palestine, Judaea, Second Revolt or Bar Cochba War, (A.D. 132-135), silver tetradrachm or sela, (14.17 grams), dated, year 2 = A.D. 133-4, obv. facade of the Temple of Jerusalem with ark and scrolls viewed from centre, star above, Hebrew on both sides 'Simon ', rev. lulav with etrog at left, 'Year 2 of the Freedom of Israel' around, border of dots, (S.5648; Mildenberg No.37, obv. die 8', rev. die 27 with only 26 examples cited for this die combination, AJC 16a, Meshorer 181, H.689, [146]). Weak in places, uneven toning, otherwise good very fine.
