Description

Palestine, Roman Procurator of Judaea, Antonius Felix, under Claudius, (A.D. 52-59), copper prutah, (3.0 grams), obv. Greek inscription in three lines, within wreath, rev. two crossed palm branches, legend around, struck LI**D* = year 14 (A.D. 54), (S.5625, AJC Sup.V, 32, Meshorer 232, H. 651 [116]). Some of the legend is visible, otherwise very fine.

The Agrippina named on the obverse is Agrippina Junior, wife of Claudius and mother of Nero.
