Trench art, an ashtray made from the base of an artillery shell, the base marked '25 Pr/II/Lot/2725.RLB/1941CF' and other markings, fitted on the edge of the ashtray are four cigarette holders in the shape of a heart, club, spade and diamond and in the centre of the ashtray is a machine bullet casing and cartridge and atop the cartridge is a bomber made from machine gun cases and cartridges, all sections have been chromed or silver plated, the main body of the bomber has been broken and crudely repaired and one propeller is missing; a brass model of a twin-engine bomber aircraft mounted on top of a long rod attached to a small circular tiered wooden base that is seated on another larger timber base with provision for two more rods to be fitted; a model fighter aircraft, missing both tail wings and propeller, fitted to a thin pole that is screwed to a tiered circular metal base, all parts except the pole are chromed. Poor - very fine. (3)
